Through donations from the Mendocino Coast Hospital Foundation, our emergency room physicians have access to an broad array of technology for diagnosis and treatment of emergencies.

Although the quality of physicians is at the heart of all great emergency care, advanced diagnostic tools are critically importance for triage and treatment. MCDH, through community conditions and major contributions from the Mendocino Coast Hospital Foundation, has been able to purchase technology vital for providing high quality emergency care.

-Diagnostic Imaging – The $7 million, 8,000-square-foot stand-alone MCDH Diagnostic Imaging Center is strategically located near the ER to provide CT Scans, MRI’s, X-ray and other imaging services. Moments after the imaging procedure is completed, images are instantly deliver the results electronically through a digital archiving system to the ordering ER physician.

-Echocardiology Lab – our echocardiography station, a non-invasive technology for diagnosing and managing heart disease, in 2010 won a coveted accreditation held by only five other Bay Area hospitals: Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, California Pacific Medical Center, UCSF, Kaiser Permanente-Sacramento, and Stanford Medical Center. It is the first and so far the only accredited echo lab in Mendocino, Lake, Sonoma, and Humboldt counties. http://www.mcdh.org/about/press-room/mendocino-coast-hospital-echocardiography-lab-earns-major-accreditation/
