Support for Cancer Patients and Their Families

Healing Garden – our garden, located outside the infusion therapy area, offers peace and tranquility for those undergoing treatment. It was planted by the Mendocino and Fort Bragg Rotary Clubs as a community service project.

Chaplaincy Program – more than 20 volunteer chaplains are available 24 hours for spiritual support and counseling.

Home Health Care – experienced home care nurses and physical therapists help you deal with treatment and facilitate your post treatment recovery. (need more information; contacts, etc.)

Elwin Cox Memorial Fund – The Cox family, like many families in our community, has experienced the high cost of cancer care and has created a legacy in memory of Elwin that will help those in need. For more information contact Foundation Executive Director Jeri Erickson.

Cancer Resource Center of Mendocino County – The Cancer Resource Center is a grassroots organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for those in Mendocino County faced with cancer. The volunteer team helps you deal with medical appointments, provides transportation, organizes cancer support groups, offers an lending library on related topics and offers hats, wigs, breast prosthesis, and bras.

Integrative Health – more than 85 different integrative practitioners offer a wide range of therapies to promote a healing. Some, like acupuncture, massage and hypnotherapy, are physician-prescribed for individuals undergoing treatment for cancer to relieve pain and stress. Learn more.
