Alysoun Huntley Ford

Alysoun Huntley Ford, a hospice patient who passed away more than a decade ago, is still a powerful presence for those struggling with end of life issues.

Upon her death, Mrs. Ford donated $100,000 to be used to hire professional caregivers for those in the hospice program.

Each patient is allowed to apply for a Ford Grant of up to $2,000, which pays for 90-100 hours of professional caregiver time.

Caregivers help with a variety of patient needs, from bed and bath care, to housekeeping to grocery shopping.
