I am a California native, born in Hollywood, CA. I was raised in Pomona, California and attended the University of Southern California where I earned 2 college degrees. My Masters Degree is in Public Administration and Health Care Services Administration.
I have worked solely in hospital administration since 1979. I have worked in hospitals that are non-profit, for-profit, governmental and religious based. The smallest hospital I ever worked in was 16 beds (Montana) and the largest was 429 beds (Texas, of course).
After 8 years as CEO of the Tehachapi Valley Healthcare District in Tehachapi, California, I accepted the CEO position of the Mendocino Coast District Hospital in November of 2006.
My wife, Gayle, and I have been married for 22 years. We do not have children, but we do have 1 horse (Licorice), 1 dog (Quincy) and 2 cats (Emily, Grizabella).
