(l-r) Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Linda Lewis, MCDH CEO Bryan Ballard, Hospital Foundation President Joan Selchau, Harvest Market's Tom Honer, MCDH Board member Don Tucker, Chief of Staff Dr. Linda James, MCDH Board President Charlene McAllister, and Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Rachel Murray celebrate the ribbon cutting for the Patient Services Building.
MCDH celebrated an Open House and Physician Reception on Tuesday evening, February 28, 2006.
he Open House featured a ribbon cutting ceremony and tours of the new Patient Services Building, which was built with funds from the general obligation bond passed in 2000 (Measure “I”). The $5.5 million in bond funds could only be used for construction and facility upgrades.
The beautiful new Patient Services Building includes patient registration, rehabilitation services, the new Hematology-Oncology-Infusion Clinic, additional multi-specialty clinic space, nutrition counseling, conference rooms, patient accounting and billing, and financial services.
In addition to the Open House, seventeen medical practitioners who joined our community within the past three years were introduced. Their specialties include emergency medicine, family practice, general surgery, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedic surgery, pediatrics and radiology. Both the depth and breadth of expertise available locally is cause for celebration.
Several dozen attendees enjoyed brief presentations, tours of the new space led by Auxiliary volunteers, refreshments and meeting the new medical staff.
